Since it's snowing like crazy today, there's not much to do but hang out watch a bit of TV and play with the kids. Of course I've been playing around with the new version of iPhoto. There are some great improvements to this new version in iLife '05. I like the new calendar view and there are a bunch of new templates available for creating hard copy photo books. There are some minor tweaks to the photo editing interface. Smart Albums allow you to create dynamic albums based on different search criteria. So I created a Mexico smart folder that contains all pictures tagged with the keyword "Mexico". The slideshow feature has really improved. It allows you to create much more dynamic looking slideshows. e.g. Bullfight is something I put together in about 2 minutes. It's also one mouse click to move the slideshows over to iDVD. Overall, it was worth the cost of the new software. I also ordered a copy of iWork but that probably won't come until Monday. UPS screwed up the delivery (according to their tracking page and customer service the package was "missed" by the driver.) so now I don't have Keynote 2 and Pages to play with while the snow falls. Nothing to do tomorrow but dig out and maybe hit the town hill and go sledding. Hopefully the county cops won't close down the hill. Last year someone broke a nose in a mid-slope collision and the county must have been spooked by their attorney. Hey sledding has always been somewhat of a contact sport. Even thought this storm hit us over the weekend it still feels like a snow day. Stay warm everybody!
