Spam, Spam, Spam, Eggs, and Spam

I've been kicking the tires on Spam Sieve for a week now. My general opinion is that it definitely works as advertised. It's multi-pronged approach to blocking spam (white list/black list/Bayesian filters) is potent. The only issue is that try as I might it wouldn't quite integrate with Apple Mail all that well. I use two POP accounts and one IMAP mailbox. My problem was that it wouldn't delete the mail off the POP servers, ever. I think the problem was more with the Apple Mail client and it's scripting support than with Spam Sieve. The funny thing is now that I've switched back to Apple's Junk Mail filter I realize it does just as good of a job as Spam Sieve. At least with my particular mix of Spam. I rarely get false positives and false negatives are rare. So I think I'm going to stick with Apple's solution for now. It sucks that I had to spend so much time with this.
