My Starbucks Fast

My self imposed Starbucks Fast will be over soon. While it was a fun pre-text (ie excuse) for starting a blog in the first place, it really had nothing to do with taking the step. Anyway, Happy New Year everyone! To anyone out there that I've hurt, offended or otherwise mistreated, I am sorry. For the rest of you, hasn't it been fun?

Google never ceases to amaze me. Now they are testing Froogle a product search engine. Seems like a logical extension of their business and a great tool. It even allows you to narrow search down by price.

Mozilla Now Blogger Preferred browser

More good news for Mozilla users. It will be great to have the Blogger developers all using Mozilla as their primary platform. Let's hope they stick to it.

Google Viewer

Jeeze! How cool is this? Google Viewer let's you view search results like a slide show. I'm not sure how much I'd use it but it's certainly nifty and it runs under Mozilla.

Great Heinlein quote in interview with Mark Frauenfelder

Frauenfelder quotes Heinlein:
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
